About

We have a commitment to the highest level of quality care, a focus on patient and family education and a passion for customer service. The goal of our center is to meet the ever changing healthcare needs of the communities we serve. We strive to meet this goal by providing a comprehensive array of specialized services and programs including clinical care, physical, occupational and speech therapies, in addition to social services and recreational therapies in a warm, healing environment.

We are an affiliate of National Health Care Associates, a leader in short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing care services throughout the Northeast. National Health Care’s signature “Passport Rehabilitation” program was specifically designed to meet the needs of individuals requiring a short-term rehabilitative stay following a surgical procedure or an acute medical episode. While on your short-term “trip” with us, please take full advantage of the amenities and services our center offers.

Our rehabilitation department is committed to promoting the highest level of independent functioning for all short-term patients. For our long-term residents, this objective is complemented by additional therapies to prevent avoidable decline in function and independence. Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy services are available up to 7 days per week, as needed and prescribed by a physician. All therapy services are individually designed based upon the needs and capabilities of the resident/patient and are directed by our inter-disciplinary team, including experienced and licensed therapists.

For more information on how our services or programs may benefit you or a loved one, please contact our admissions department. We will be pleased to arrange a meeting and tour, at your convenience.

What our patients and their families are saying

To: Maria Marriotti, Keith, The PTS, Nurses, Nurses Aids and the rest of the Belair Rehab Staff, Just a note of much appreciation from my family. To start with Maria, for her help getting my mom set up to get her in the rehab, to Keith hearing my desperate calls to push BC/BS to get an authorization number on a Friday late afternoon. Receiving a message on my phone at 4:45pm from Keith saying the ambulette was getting her was a huge answer to our prayers. When she got there late Friday night meeting Debbie from Admissions, she made my mother feel so welcomed and relaxed. At that point we knew she was in a good rehab. All the nurses, nurses’ aids and PTS have been so wonderful, my mother was just so happy with everyone. Her one nurse's aid, Dawn, my mother just loved. She really made Mom feel so at ease and comfortable. She truly is a caring person along with everyone else. The cleanliness and friendliness of staff just turned and upsetting situation into a more relaxed and enjoyable stay. Thank you all for helping her recover so much quicker. Everyone had a part in it and we are grateful! Belair Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is wonderful! Much sincere thanks.

There is only one thing I can say to the exceptional staff who work at Belair Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and that is THANK YOU! The entire staff at Belair is terrific, professional and really understands what respect is. I couldn’t be more impressed with what Belair has to offer and I would proudly recommend it to everyone.

You made a difficult adjustment for my mom as easy as possible. The kindness and exemplary treatment by your staff has been a welcome relief. Perhaps the best testimonial for Belair came from the ambulance drivers that shuttled my mother on numerous occasions; they unfailingly remark on how clean and modern Belair is. I cannot think of anything that Belair lacks in regards to care or kindness.

I am the recipient of two knee replacements. This is a tribute and thank you to the staff at Belair Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. For many years, I suffered, bone-on-bone, trying to cope and get through the day. Every step was painful and tortuous. I finally decided to “bite the bullet” and “get my knees done.” The decision was a difficult one and was put off for a long time since the recovery period would be a long one. After each surgery, I was sent to Belair for therapy and rehabilitation. From the moment I arrived at the Belair Rehabilitation Facility until I was released, the care I received and expertise of the staff went above and beyond. The facility is immaculate and the staff is caring, dedicated, and attentive. I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to the nurses, therapists, and staff for all you did to make my stay, not once, but twice (!) at Belair comfortable and for the expert care I received – I was teary-eyed when it was time to leave for the last time. There are no words that could possibly be adequate to express my feelings of gratitude to all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. With gratitude,

— James Moustakos

On September 8th of this year, I was fortunate to be admitted to your facility. I can’t emphasize enough how impressed I am regarding the care Belair Care Center administers. Everyone is so very helpful and kind. I was installed in Room 109B and was lucky enough to have the following wonderful aides: Pat, Michelle, Elsa, Elsie, Marie, Cynthia and Maryanne as well as nurses Maureen, Dee, Ana and Sue. They all went above and beyond in administering my care. The following therapists were also very centered on my different types of therapy and couldn’t be nicer: Dina, Mindy, Martha, Will, Alma, Danielle and Julie. These were only a few of whom I had interaction with. I’m sure all the other therapists were just as wonderful as the ones I dealt with. Your menu was excellent and The Bistro Food Court was a terrific idea as an alternate for lunch. Think about having a wine and cheese hour there in the evening with a juke box full of 50’s music. That would be a great fit. Your establishment is so good, I’ve recommended it to two of my friends that have to have knee and hip surgery, and they said they’d keep Belair at the top for the list for rehab.

My wife and I would like to personally thank you again for what you have done for my uncle. It was a very stressful time for me and my family in dealing with how to proceed with his care and you made it possible for us to make the best decision to get the best care possible for him. My wife had visited him everyt day and was impressed how the patients at Belair Nursing and Rehabilitation Center were all treated with dignity and respect. H received wonderful care while he was there and he only had praise for the entire staff including nurses, wound care and P/T. He also enjoyed the food. He was discharged this past Wednesday and is now in and independent living facility in Florida near my home (his sister). Thank you again for all you have done. It is greatly appreciated.

Belair is a modern and clean facility. Overall, the staff seems happy with their jobs. Everyone works together nicely. Rehab is good: they encouraged me and are understanding. Nursing and medical care is good and I felt safe here. I have recommended Belair to several people.

My mother was recently a patient at Belair Center. I wanted to let you know how impressed my family was with the level of care she received while at your center. I wanted to compliment the members of the Rehab Dept., particularly Doris, who was instrumental in my mother's recovery. Doris is extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind and obviously is an asset to your center. Kristin is a lovely person who also was a true professional. The nurses were patient, very professional, caring and friendly, particularly those that I saw regularly during the 3-11 shift (Kathy, Antoinette, Lauren). The aides, Lucy & Anita were also exceptional ladies. Again, compliments to all who helped in my mother's recovery.
