Our Residents are the Heart of Everything

Nothing has ever been more important to us than the health and well-being of our residents, families, and staff. Below are just a few of the measures we initiated and continue to implement to care, protect, and advocate for those that have placed their trust in us.

Pandemic Emergency Plan

Pursuant to New York State Department of Health regulations:

  • Click here to view our Visitation Policies.

  • Click here to view our Visitor Expectations.  Please note:  Safety is our top priority, so we encourage appointments so that we can maintain core values of infection control.

To provide residents and families with added peace of mind, we launched the WE CARE Family Communication Tool, a new way for you and your loved ones to receive updates and communications from our Center.

NHCA COVID-19 Employee Training

We implemented mandatory supplemental training for all staff about coronavirus and best practices for patient care, infection control, and personal safety – building on the training our staff receives at regular intervals throughout the year.

NHCA Hand Hygiene

We are reinforcing housekeeping and disinfection schedules, strict handwashing, hygiene, and infection control protocols.

NHCA Employee Screening

We screen staff daily and closely monitor for possible exposure of illness per infection control best practices and state and federal guidelines.

NHCA Personal Protective Equipment

We procured additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure that all team members in the facility have appropriate protection.

NHCA Clinical Care

Our clinicians rotate throughout our Center 24-hours-a-day to observe residents and ensure that all housekeeping, hygiene, and infection control measures are carried out appropriately. Our clinicians are also available on the floor to respond to questions from residents and staff.

NHCA Virtual Visits

We enhanced communications with families and their loved ones through virtual visits and social media updates.

NHCA Family Communications

Our Unit Nursing and Medical Staff are reaching out to families to keep them updated on any change in resident condition.

NHCA Clinicians

We will continue to monitor and assess all of our residents at every shift for any new signs or symptoms of changes.
